Messing Around In Thamel

Thamel is the tourist centre of Kathmandu but one step out of the area and you're back in the real world.

Maybe it's a sign of a tough economy and not so many tourists but as soon as you step onto the street in Thamel you get mobbed by (mostly) guys trying to sell you everything from trekking to ganga. It's much worse first up in the morning but they seem to get over it by lunchtime.

I tagged along while Sue shopped.

A lot of rain this evening. We got caught out walking back from dinner at the 4 Ever Cafe. Bit of a dodgy place but the food was excellent. We're both healthy so far.

Off to Pokhara on the bus tomorrow.
