More walking down a path to the a waterfall than trekking :)
Our guide Chee (sp? ) is from the H'mong tribe. She was a real character and very likable. Thirty degrees and humid and she was in full traditional dress - which she had made herself.
Aren't you hot Chee? Yeah, bit....
All the funded schools are painted yellow.
Don't know if these girls were too happy to be waiting around for the tourists, school had finished.
Crazy bamboo stilt kids. One made it over the fence on his stilts and proceeded to run up the hill.
Nice views.
Hungry water buffalo. They're such placid animals.
We got to see inside a H'mong house. I made sure I didn't get the 60" plasma in the shot. Each of the tribes have their own unique language. They speak with other tribes in Vietnamese.
After the walk back up from the waterfall Chee cooked us a late lunch of chicken and noodles. The rest of the day we wandered around town until the rain started.
